Sofia's first trip to Mexico

With the classic excuse to get away from the Swedish winter, we took Sofia for the first time to Mexico and meet the rest of the family.
The plan was to stay 1 month in Mexico, where we spent 1 week in Mexico City, then 2 weeks at the Caribbean Sea (Playa del Carmen and Mahahual) and finally back in Mexico City with a quick weekend trip to Leon and San Miguel de Allende (4hrs north from Mexico City).

We had an amazing weather, blu sky but cold nights. We were so used to have 20 degrees at home... anyhow we managed the nights and mornings with cosy jackets and starting up the heaters.

As we expected, Sofia was (and will continue to be) the sensation of the trip. My parents and sister were extremely happy to have her around. Every morning, as soon as she was awake I took her down to my parents, regardless if they were sleeping or not. It was grandpas' time! Sofia got familiarised quite fast and she started to smile at them and play with them right away.

But what we didn't expect was the amount of toys and accessories that my parents had prepared for her. Sofia had more toys than back in Sweden! She had a sort of trampoline and a small car for walking. Well... she couldn't be more excited... every time she was jumping she had a burst of laughter, it was amazing.

She started to crawl in the end of December. In the beginning it was more "commando" style and later on she started to use her legs and use the knees as a support.
Also, she started to show her first pair of teeth! This was on the 29th of
December when we first realised there was something in her mouth. The two lower teeth are coming out little by little and you can totally feel when she sucks on your finger how she starts to bite. (we have a couple of toys that have some scratches on the bottom by now)

While being at the beach, we proved that those swimming classes were useful. We took her to the swimming pool and to the sea a couple of times and she totally loved it. She loved to play with her feet and splash the water open-handed.

She definitely took a big step on her development during this month. However, we struggled to bring back her sleeping hours once we arrived to Sweden. The vacation all in all went perfect, but the distance was definitely a big challenge for the three of us.
